NV Lasik (Near Vision Lasik)
Similar to monovision, NV Lasik is a technique developed to create blended vision to help decrease the dependency of corrective eyeglasses. Blended vision is a sight compromise of both distance and near vision. The ophthalmologist fully treats a dominant eye for distance and the other for near. The process allows one slightly nearsighted eye to good near distance vision. Further, extended reading time with smaller prints or driving may sometimes require weak pair of eyeglasses. Depth perception, distance and near vision may be slightly compromised expecially for people whose work demands highly acute vision, for example, precesion work and sports.
