Glaucoma Treatment (and Glaucoma surgery)
Glaucoma is a group of diseases of optic nerve involving loss of retina ganglian cells in a characteristic pattern if optic neuropathy that can steal sight without warning ir symptoms. Glaucoma, nicknamed “the silent sight thief” is second leading cause of blindness worldwide; half of the people who have glaucoma don not know they have it. It is hereditary of 6% likelihood. Asians are prone to develop a type called angle-closure glaucoma. Women are three times more likely than men to develop acute angle-closure glaucoma due to their shallow anterior chambers.(eye sockets.) Use if steroid can also cause glaucoma.
